Lot 55

Satis House, 11 Elms Avenue, Ramsgate, Kent, CT11 9BW
Satis House, 11 Elms Avenue, Ramsgate, Kent, CT11 9BW
Withdrawn After

A prominent detached Victorian building situated in the heart of the desirable seaside town of Ramsgate, located close to the town centre and railway station. The building has most recently been used as an art gallery and offers well presented ample accommodation over four floors.

The site has been subject to multiple Planning applications including, most recently, an approval for change of use from an art gallery to a single residential dwelling.

A further application was approved for the change of use and conversion of Satis House to provide four self-contained flats and for the construction of an additional detached three-bedroom dwelling to the side.

With regard to this application the Auctioneers have been informed by the seller that a vehicular access from Elms Avenue to the proposed site of the three bedroom dwelling has been constructed prior to the Approval’s expiry date and therefore the Permission remains extant. Further information will be available to download from the Clive Emson website or inspection at the Auctioneer’s Office.

Initial Planning Permission was granted by Thanet District Council, under ref: F/TH/08/0801 dated 20th August 2008, for the change of use and conversion to four self-contained flats including a three storey rear extension to Satis House together with the erection of a two storey detached three bed dwelling, subject to conditions.

This application was then subject to an application for an extension of time, under ref: F/TH/11/0376. Approval was given, subject to conditions, on 8th July 2011.

A more recent Planning Permission has been granted by Thanet District Council, under ref: F/TH/16/0853 dated 5th September 2016, for the change of use from art gallery (Use Class D1) to single dwelling (Use Class C3), subject to conditions.

A copy of the Planning Consents and proposed plans will be available to download from the Clive Emson website, inspection at the Auctioneer's Office or Thanet District Council website.
