Beachlands is situated at the eastern end of Ventnor's pretty and popular seafront and enjoys splendid views across the beach and the English Channel beyond. Once a grand family home, Beachlands is in a poor state of repair and indeed has been partially demolished (to the rear) and the site now has the benefit of a Planning Consent for four attractive town houses in its stead.

The new dwellings will be very much in keeping with other new development which has taken place in recent times along the Esplanade as it becomes gradually more attractive and reinvigorated.


Planning Permission has been granted by Isle of Wight Council under reference: P/00425/17, dated 3rd October 2017, for demolition of Beachlands; proposed construction of four townhouses, subject to conditions.

Subsequently the Isle of Wight Council has under reference: 21/01771/CLPUD issued a Lawful Development Certificate seeking formal confirmation that the approved development under reference: P/00425/17 has commenced.
