Surf or Turf

We have a great selection of land (in various shapes, sizes and guide prices) in the 2nd November auction, so why not ‘surf’ our website for some ‘turf’. With so much emphasis on wellbeing and the benefits of a garden, the countryside and the great outdoors, could it be the right time to buy land?  Some may even say buy land at auction for mind, body and soil!

On the outskirts of Great Chart, Near Ashford are two adjacent parcels of woodland (Lot 144) which are located within a much larger wood known as Hoads Wood. They are being offered on behalf of the Executors with a guide price of £3-3,500 for both (ideal Christmas gift or a Teddy bears paradise?). Also within the Ashford district is a little under a quarter acre site at Appledore, (Lot 61) which attracts a guide of £40-45,000.  At Lynsore Bottom, near Bishopsbourne, Canterbury, Lot 78, is a freehold site extending to 0.6 acres with a guide price of £45-48,000.  If your budget stretches to a bit more, then at Warehorne (Lot 66) we are offering on behalf of Executors about 8.5 acres with a guide of £120-125,000.

But not everyone is looking for land though. You may be looking for that illusive coastal property or a modest house for rental or one to make a grand statement, or even a chocolate box cottage, then you could in for a real treat.

A modern two bedroom house on a popular estate in Ashford (Lot 9) with tenants already in situ is being offered with a guide of £200-210,000. Poltreen House in Penzance, Lot 25, is impressive – a grand style double gated entrance leads to a detached house which is in need of complete updating, but what an opportunity for the successful bidder. It attracts a guide of £300,000 Plus. Another attractive building is the former Methodists Chapel at Lynsted, Lot 108. It has a guide price of £200-210,000 and it will be interesting to see what plans the new owner has.

Meanwhile on the Isle of Wight at Kingston Near Ventnor is a truly picturesque ‘chocolate box’ cottage. Stone Cottage, Lot 53, has been rented for many years and is in need of upgrading and refurbishment – but this must be a golden opportunity not to be missed? Guided at £250,000 Plus it nestles on approx. 0.4 of an acre and enjoys pleasant rural views.
