Today, 26 November, Matt Hancock, the Secretary of State for Health announced the new Tier system for the UK that will come into effect following the current lockdown. After 2 December, most of the areas we cover are located in either Tier 2 or 3 with only Cornwall and the Isle of Wight in Tier 1, although that doesn’t mean we all come to a grinding halt. But what does the new Tier system mean for those interested in the Clive Emson Property Auction world?
Obviously the safety of everyone is of paramount importance if we are to combat Covid-19 together and it’s more than encouraging that vaccines are being developed with a rolling out of them hopefully soon.
We are still able inspect a property whether that’s vacant or tenanted with the Sellers and/or Tenants consent, working in accordance with Government guidelines, while trying to ensure the process is as normal as possible. We have made some changes though; walk round videos on the vast majority of properties to reduce the interaction between people. All our teams are equipped with PPE and where face to face inspections/viewings are carried out we expect all parties to wear face masks and observe social distancing to keep us all as safe as we can be.
